The doubtless king of the markets has been struggling lately with keeping its identity under the massive influx of tourists and the ever-growing number of food bars and terraces but it still remains one of the greatest stunning spectacles in Spain.
It is morphing dangerously from the reference point of local buyers to a global food corner for foreign clientele. There is still much to see and buy but it looks like the current tendency of giving more and more space to the bars and restaurants should be slowed down to keep the unique impressive character of this place intact.
