The Region of the Guadalhorce valley includes following notable towns and villages: Alhaurín de la Torre, Alhaurín el Grande, Almogía, Álora, Cártama, Coín, Pizarra and Valle de Abdalajís.

This region is popularly known as the orchard of Malaga thanks to its mild climate, fruitful land and the Guadalhorce river which forms the widest and most beautiful valley of the province full of almonds, olives and citrus.
