This bakery shop was remarkably founded in 1912. This is one of the three bakeries in the Atarazanas market in Malaga and the only one selling also their own authentic confectionary, which I have to confess is not just my cup of tea but which is definitely interesting to try. The bread range is relatively narrow but includes the special heavy malagan “cateto” bread made of special hard wheat flour which really feels like the father of all Mediterranean bread. The staff is attentive and friendly.
