These guys are the workmen of the Salamanca market. They have been present in the market since 1990 and even though their sign shows Hermanos Montoya, it is run by Pepe “el Chino” and his son Jose. Pepe comes originally from the Mercado del Carmen and he has been selling fresh fish all his life. The father with his son are always cleaning cheap fish, mostly anchovies laying them in thin layers in vinegar and preparing other usually cheap fish for their private clients and bars in the old town of Malaga specialised on fried fish.
