Carnicería Molina (11)

Nº 11

This butcher shop is the definition of a family business. It surprises me how many people can be so active in such a small stall all day but obviously, this busy shop knows how to attract its clients. There is always the soul of the shop, the octogenarian Pepe “el Sevillano” (this could be a brilliant name of a mafia boss btw.), there are his children Paco and Mercedes, there is his grandson Francisco and it looks really improbable that there could be enough business in these 4 m2, but there is.

Pepe is the living archive of the market. He knows everything about everything so if you want to know anything from the science of growing avocados to the art of ageing beef, ask him.

I like the fact that apart from all the possible cuts of beef, lamb, pork and chicken, they also prepare a great variety of own products, namely hamburgers, marinated chicken wings with garlic, parsley and spices, own fresh chorizos, pork cubes for skewers etc.
